Rather than rant, here is a list of challenges and when/if they got fixed... NO RUNNING HOT WATER! Consistent smell of gas – initially resolved when neighbour’s pool heater found to be faulty – smell returned and found to be ongoing issues with pilot light at address – never fully resolved. Engineers said this was a “dangerous situation” to be living in. No hot water – during our 14 nights we had running hot water for a total of 3 days. Crib not available upon arrival – addressed next working day. Games room not fit for purpose – driving simulator repaired then became faulty again; shoot ‘em up game faulty and not repaired; dance machine faulty and not repaired. Games in childrens’ bedroom – one console had only one joystick – not repaired. Downstairs guest bedroom – fan and A/C not working – not addressed and still faulty. Hot tub not working – addressed on 2nd day. Outdoor Bluetooth not working – maintenance engineer unable to rectify. Pool alarm faulty – replaced within 24 hours. Rudeness of the Maintenance Company – after being advised to contact the maintenance company directly (on 2nd or 3rd day) they explained that despite my children being 4 and 1 respectively that “at least they had water” when I explained that no hot water was present. Time Wasted – at least 30 emails and multiple calls, throughout the day, meant it was an ongoing distraction. False Promises – on two separate occasions it was offered that a change of villa was being explored – this was NEVER acted upon and therefore never offered to us despite the litany of challenges.
