I have been a loyal customer of torrid for years, to the point where 95% of my wardrobe is torrid. The last couple of years the quality has gone down significantly, the prices seem to stay the same for worst items. I’ve over looked this in the past and have included to shop here, until today. I placed an order for two summer dresses (I really only wanted one but they had a sale going on) I used $50 in torrid cash and waited for my order. I get an email that says a part of my order was cancelled (the dress I actually wanted) reasoning unavailable, I think to myself that’s odd it’s a new line how I can it be unavailable. I go to the website where the dress remains listed as available with stock in my size (only one but still this gives you hope). I contacted torrid via the chat option I get kicked out twice with my question not being answered (why did my order get cancelled when your website shows you have stock), finally I talk myself into calling. No one seems to speak English as their first language (causing them to focus on what they can understand and not the problem at hand) the lady spills off something about the website has stock but the warehouse doesn’t (how does that work? Your website is a reflection of your warehouse). Never did get my torrid cash back and ended up paying more for the one dress then I did for the two, I do plan to return the dress. I don’t know if this is their way of trying to make money or what but they have lost a customer.
