The touch up paint that i received for my 2010 Mazda MX-5 (color: A4A "true red") was an exact match. The clear coat is needed to give it the finish look that you will expected. The pen that I purchased worked really well on a few scraps and a dime-sized chip. I was skeptical of buying touch up paint, as I had heard horror stories when looking online. I'm very happy with my purchase.
