I went to Greece last year, last week of October. The service in general was Ok but not very good. I travel alone, so I paid an extra $600 or so for a single room. The first room that they gave me in Athens was terrible. I was moved from room to room, because my tour schedule was altered and I had to go back and forward to Athens. The fact that I paid an extra meant that I was going to get the same quality of Hotel and room than the ones offered for this package. People from my same tour were in much better hotels and better area. The Athens hotel I got, although in the middle of the city and with a view of the Acropolis, I would not recommend for someone traveling solo. The tour conductors also have some kind of attitude. If I was little late meeting them downstairs because the hotel elevators took a lot of time,they were small, so people were making a line to take the elevator, etc...I guess it was the end of the season and they were tired, but we were still costumers and in my case, paying more than anyone else.
