I'm usually very pleased with the Royal Oak, Michigan Woodward store, but not on my last visit. Oh, there was a few items I wanted to purchase that were missing, but the check out process was terrible. All through my $58 purchase, the cashier was chit chatting with another employee standing nearby. I watched close to see that everything scanned properly. No the other employe was not at a register. I did call and talk with a (one of them) managers, who was very nice and apoligized, but sounded disengenuous. She kind of made the excuse that they are all happy employees in the store and like to share. Of course I did find out that a Trader Joe's is sheduled to open in Sterling Heights, but that is all up to corporate to decide where. I use to always ask when visiting stores if they would open a store near me, like Sterling Heights, but gave up after a manager just walk away from me. Or another store manager declared that they would miss me if another Trader Joo's took my business - Yeah sure!.
