I was charged £63+ for a returned shipment because FedEx could not (or would not) try and reach out to sort out some customs issues. Transglobal express simply passed on the costs of this to me. FedEx deliberately (in my opinion) made no attempt to sort this out so they could charge outrageous fees for return plus clearing the item through UK customs on the return. How is this fair?
Transglobal's role as the booking agent gave no indication there was a problem with the shipment and no recourse to sort this out.
They offered a 50% reduction in the amount I was charged as a goodwill gesture - but that still leaves me with 50% of fees for something that should not have been charged. All in all I am now nearly £175 in total costs to send this one package to Portugal.
Transglobal won't fight for you, they will simply pass over fees and blame you for the mistakes of their delivery partners.
Why bother using them if this is the service they provide.
