TravelLocal have been helping me plan a trip along the Silk Route. This is a trip I have wanted to make for sometime but not sure how to get it organised. When I realised it was possible to travel by train from Moscow to Tashkent in Uzbekistan and then on to Beijing I started to investigate further. I found TravelLocal and they seemed to be ideal as they organise tours using local contacts. TravelLocal are also ABTA protected which is a big confidence booster to make a booking. TravelLocal put me in touch with their local tour company in Tashkent and I have been discussing my tour options with Olga who has done a terrific job producing itineraries for me to review. After some alterations my itinerary takes my though to Beijing with many stops on the way to soak up the some of history of the Silk Route. My thanks to Olga and her team for all the work they have done for me. In the same way I must thank Huw and Tom at TravelLocal for helping, me through the visa application minefield. The tour itself does not start until next month and now at last I can say it looks like all the major parts of the travel puzzle have fallen into place. It would have been much more difficult to organise all the scheduled tourist excursions so my thanks to TravelLocal.
