Our visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was a wonderful experience for 3 generations of our family. Huw and his Travel Local team organized a complex set of itineraries in both countries with almost immaculate precision. He clearly worked well with his local partners in both countries, and we were very impressed with the local guides he organized. In Kyrgyzstan we trekked for over a week in the mountains above Lake Issykul. Everything was carried by our 4 legged transport with great efficiency ! the views around Son Kul Lake were stunning and desolate. A truly unexpected light. Alexander was an excellent guide from their local partner. Over in Uzbekistan we organized most of our own travel within the cities but Huw and Olga ( his Tashkent contact) produced an excellent guide in Samarkhand and efficient transport along the desolate land route to Khiva ( a journey I can recommend to anyone). We have nothing but praise for Huw's organization. Thank you.
