Booked Ayr Travelodge for three nights in January using a voucher from a previous cancellation due to Covid. The hotel got in touch via email informing us of our cancellation for Ayr, once again due to Covid, and offering a full refund or voucher.
It was quite clear in the email, accept the voucher with some slightly generous terms or a full refund offered in full within 14 days.
I opted for the refund, and to no great surprise the refund didn’t happen.
Strangely enough, we had Premier Inn cancel on us last year due to Covid, but the only difference is the money was refund within a few days.
So, as I do enjoy my stay in Ayr, there is nothing preventing me from booking the Premier Inn which is literally across the road.
At least they can be trusted!!
