I had the displeasure of staying at a Travelodge for 2 days in April and it was DISMAL.
The room was tiny with no windows, it felt like a cupboard rather than a bedroom. There was just one filthy skylight high up in the ceiling with no blind on it so as soon as the sun came up at 5am the room was too bright to sleep in. Not that I'd have slept much anyway, given how noisy the hotel is and how uncomfortable the beds are.
I will NEVER use a Travelodge again after this disgusting experience.
