Booked a 2 night stay in an accessible room in Travelodge, Tolworth for myself and my disabled wife who needs to have bathroom with a walk in shower and not a bath. When checking in, I was given a non accessible room at thè end of a long corridor, which my wife could not reach and I was advised that all accessible rooms had been booked by one company/Council - although some were empty. My wife and I were then given a slightly nearer room, which was still impractical and we were advised by the manager that he would email the booking company/Council to check if they would give up an accessible room with shower. The whole situation is farcical and unacceptable, particularly as we had pre paid for the two nights and the fact that I telephoned yesterday to ensure that the room was booked for us. I am still waiting for the manager to come back to me to advise that we will be moved, but I am not holding out any hope. Real customers do not appear to be treated with any consideration and I will now be seeking a refund.
