Receptionist was lovely, very helpful. But after travelling all day, we were hungry. Soon as we entered restaurant the chef, who looked like she hadn’t washed in months, and was scruffy said that it wouldn’t be open for another half hour, even though it specified 5pm. When we did sit down, the chef and a waitress spoke loudly to each other well within our ear shot, that the oven was vile. We decided there and then to go elsewhere for food. The nights sleep was the worst ever, ppl talking outdoes our room early hours of the morning, 1am, 2am, banging and clattering from the staff private room next to ours. The only good thing about our stay was the breakfast. The elderly chef was friendly, helpful and cooked breakfast was lovely. We will be tempted to go to premier inn next year in September when we come next. I love travelodge and we always use them but this one was horrendous.
