I usually stay at Days Inn but needed to be in Northern Cumbria, do I stay at Days Inn Kendal or the Travelodge on the A66, which gives me better access to where I need to be. I stayed Travelodge and gave up the option of more points towards more free stays at Days Inn, its more or less Days Inn, just different décor. More or less the same rates with the same standard rooms. My room was clean, had a really nice bathroom, TV that gets channel 236 ( GB News ) and most importantly a kettle and tea making kit. My only nag is having to pay an extra £3.00 per day for wireless. Days Inn do it for free.
Its located next door to a Greggs/Burger King and a mile down the road ( west ) is the Rheged service station that has a nice selection of freshly made foods and other relevant items for sale.
