I found the booking system clunky and unhelpful. Having tried to book one night at a particular Travelodge, the system said that no rooms were available. This was very misleading as the truth was that for that weekend, they were only taking a minimum of two nights or more. As my date was flexible I was able to book another date at the same venue, but only through my own persistence, not because the system guided me...
