Stopped at Chieveley on my way back from Norwich as nil reply from Customer services to discover from the duty Manager that my room had been recorded as a NO SHOW by staff and NOT the fact site were completely over booked ! Also that I could and should have been given a refund on the spot - I was told the staff on duty on 19th weren't able to do this !
So staff manipulate system and lie to customers !
A disgrace .....
Customer services NOW replied and advise 5 days to get a reply due to volume of queries !!! I wonder why when working with staff such as those at Chieveley !!!!

Latest update ..... Complaint e mail now returned from Travelodge site !!!!!!
Looking forward to telephone conversation and undoubted lengthy delay in getting through .....
FIRST ISSUE 19 June 2023
Awful ...... due to stay there in Chieveley tonight 19th June . Rooms overbooked by 16 ....
Couldn't be found a room in nearby Reading so very quickly arranged alternative accommodation ...
Await outcome of complaint , speed of refund and offer to compensate for time , frustration and awful service !!!!
Be careful and check BJT beware I had received e mails , sms messages and confirmation of rooms so clearly systems not able to compute !!!!
