I booked and paid for a two night stay in Travelodge Wembley thinking the hotel was in Wembley only to discover within minutes of booking and paying that it was in fact in Ealing. I phoned almost immediately to see if I could transfer the booking to the Travelodge in Wembley but was told emphatically no. I did not find the lady at all sympathetic to me but quite dismissive, more or less along the lines that I had made the booking without any refund for cancellation etc. I asked if I could speak to a manager and while she said yes, did not attempt to connect me to a manager. I really cannot afford to book again in Wembley so will have to make do with the Ealing booking but it is more inconvenient as we are visiting our son who lives over there. Apart from that the whole booking and paying process was extremely user-friendly, especially for someone like me,a pensioner with limited I.T.
