Other than attaching it to the base we haven't used it yet. We bought a Treekeeper bag 10 years ago for a larger tree. That material seemed to be nylon and was easy to stuff inside the base as well as put up and down on the tree. This one seems to be a heavier, canvas like material and we are a little concerned as to how easily it will work on the tree.
