I've wanted to try fresh cacao for years and years, and thanks to Tropical Fruit Box, I finally did!
I ordered a variety box, and nearly everything was perfectly ripe and ready to eat. There was one cacao pod (out of three) that was unripe, but I imagine it's tough to tell, given the looks of the fruit.
I do wish the variety box included more options. There are lots of things in season that I'd love to try but don't want to order a full box. I think a variety box of small amounts of whatever is in season would be a great idea...
