They reduce your business' score unless you pay them. We use an alternative platform to encourage customers to leave us reviews (good or bad).
Trustpilot's scoring is not solely based on the star ratings but on how many reviews you have with them, how recent they are and how much you encourage customers to review your business THROUGH THEM. This essentially means you get marked down unless you pay to use their service and feature them on your website!
