Trustpilot is manipulated by companies that pay to be a part of their program. Companies can pay into what they want to do- companies can flag your negative review for anything they want. Those same companies are permitted to supply positive reviews. If a company itself tells Trustpilot that their reviews are from 'verified buyers', Trustpilot believes them. The reviews I see from a company I am having severe problems with are 98% fake, I've tracked them on dozens of websites and they are family, friends, clients who were provided money to supply a review. Trustpilot does not care. That being said, if you fight hard enough to prove that you are a real, true, upset consumer, and jump through all their hoops, they'll leave the review up.
