I have only used Turo once but never again. I had a very bad experience with one of the hosts (their fancy name for the car owner) and I asked customer service to remove my account from their site. The host had tried to extort an additional £15 for washing their car after I had returned this one day rental, exactly as I had found it. The host wrote a negative review because I said I would not pay. When I complained to Turo they said that they would look into it, but this was not necessary as payment should only be made to them and not the host directly. I was sufficiently unimpressed with the whole Turo lack of empathy I asked for my account to be closed. Initially they said this would take only 1-2 days. After that time has passed, I called again and they said if I chose to get an update on my situation they would be forced to start reviewing my account all over again. It has now been 2 weeks since I ask ed them to remove my account I. don't owe them any money but merely don't want my name associated with their appalling customer service. What a shabby company and how little they care about customer feedback. Use them at your own peril.
