We rented a car through Turo, and the vehicle we picked up was not in the condition shown in the pictures. Within just 2 miles of driving, the front driver’s side tire blew out in the middle of the highway, putting our lives at serious risk. We returned the car immediately and refused a replacement, as it was clear the company does not prioritize user safety and allows renters to commit fraud by misrepresenting their vehicles. After two weeks of emailing back and forth, explicitly stating that Turo was not authorized to charge our card for a claim based on this fraudulent rental, they still charged us $570 for a flat tire. Avoid Turo at all costs, and do not provide them with your payment information. We are fighting this charge and will continue until it is reversed, but this is our warning: do not do business with Turo.
