I heard about Turo by accident. I booked a trip for some guests that are coming in February. I needed a van. I made a reservation from a man named Javier that has many vans with Turo. I had some difficulty adding my husband as a driver and I was also upset that I was charged $120 delivery charge to the airport. However, I live in punta gorda and could’ve picked up the car from wherever Javier wanted for free. I sent him an email directly and asked these questions. (Not to Turo at all).
I waited a day and then sent him an email text with the same questions explaining that this is the second attempt to reach him. Waited another day. No response. So I decided to cancel Javier’s reservation and found a van from Avis for half the price. I sent Javier another text stating my plan and the reasons for it and IMMEDIATELY received a return text from Javier with a bunch of useless excuses. I hope he uses this instance as a learning experience because he’s lost this customer for good and probably won’t use Tumo either. In today’s world, I don’t have to take poor customer service from any business person. FYI
