Disgusting working and poor business practices. They deliberately design the website to make it hard for customers to cancel subscriptions. Schools who shared logins, used a login rota or headteachers who stop their staff from using Twinkl were shamed at meetings. A school who sent in over 60 pages of mistakes requesting correction on the site were told to be thrown away as rubbish by the ceo. Schools from non-eu countries were purposely charged 20% higher in disguised vat. They made the website pricing cheap and alter the exchange rate at the backend, so you are paying higher. Customer teams were told to offer customers free subscriptions in an attempt to hold on to refunds. Customers paying upfront subscriptions are effectively giving out cash intetest free where they should only pay for the service they use for the period they use. They were often told to subscribe to things they don't need. They advertise as teacher made resources, but translators were effectively making the resource as an attempt to clear the backlogs. There is a lot of information security issue with the school systems they use at Twinkl. There are a lot of fake invoices or bogus sales to make sales look good. If a customer is inactive, staff were told to block their account or send password resets to prompt responses or engagement. There is a lot of discrimination and bullying at the workplace. If someone doesn't fit in, it gives hr the right to refuse support and fail people at work. They will repeatedly say you are not doing well enough but not telling or showing how. HR categorise staff into replaceable or non-replaceable categories for salaries. HR manipulated hiring practices so one could stay on their management role without experience. The ceo often praise HR for their capabilities in refusing people a pay rise. They pay people below market salary and claim they have increased the pay when in fact it was an annual increase of national minimum wages. Slave working practices are common at Twinkl, staff were made guilty for complaining for working 8 people job and told to change their attitude. They would claim they have wellbeing staff but in fact without experience just titles, buying gifts and writing out cards, gossipping about others. Staff were refused breaks after working 16 hours continously for weeks 7 days a week. Staff were wronged for nothing and shouted at meetings if the ceo or coo doesn't feel happy. If you raise an issue about it, you were told to be considerate of their positions. Existing staff were told to not to talk to certain employees claiming that they are out of their mind or not in the right state and hr spreads gossips to damage others reputation. HR runs lottery for parking spaces for charity purposes but never disclose the cash and always wins a parking space for some odd reasons. Staff complained about not getting training but a Head of HR with minimum hr experience were given thousands to spend to do training at Sheffield College because they don't have a hr qualification to lead hr. It is complete acceptable for hr to make mistakes and never own up the responsibility, but when it comes to other staff, they hide the information, not giving people a chance to correct the mistake and shame them in front of everyone. It is common to hear staff crying at stairways. People were wronged for poor decisions made by the ceo. Hr often writes fake positive reviews on glassdoor and never apologise for what they did. Hr are very revengeful and aggresive when staff dislike something about them in internal surveys. They were paranoid of who supports them and carry out monthly internal surveys to check on staff happiness which isn't anonymous and people start to see their work made difficult for being honest. There is a lot of blaming practices, politics and favour exchange. People taking out the ceo for dinner to introduce networks or ministers in exchange for management positions or salary increase. Ceo taking out female colleagues for drinks. Drinking at work is acceptable. Ego is a big concern, the ceo rests his shoes on the staff table, likes to organise lavish parties to show off, makes donations but were owned by his close friends and relatives, claims a small salary but claims a big dividend and pension, claims to help people but just lip service or for fame.
