Extremely disappointed with Uber Eats and their customer service. Ordered my Thanksgiving dinner since yesterday from a well know restaurant in Washington DC and made a scheduled deliver for today (Thanksgiving) at 5 PM. Order and paiement went through normally, got a confirmation today at 2PM that order will be delivered as scheduled, only to receive a message on my UberEats app at 4PM saying we are sorry but your order was cancelled and we have issued a refund. Try to call, spoke with a representative who tried to justify why and how this happened, asked to speak with a manager and waited a looong time to speak to one, only for them to be worst than the first rep and basically try to explain this and that. 0 accountability that this is a systems issue from Uber Eats and they should have never accepted an order amd way of delivery they could not fulfill. Still refused to take 0 accountability, so I gor frustrated and hang up. Now I am left without a Thanksgiving dinner and they think that saying "ooops sorry, we have reimbursed your money" makes you whole.
2nd very bad experience with Uber Eats and last time I am ordering from them. I am uninstalling the app from my phone, just by principle.
