I started to use ubereats recently, as I have no time to do my groceries before or after work, and so far I had minor issues, like the delivery instructions that are never followed and generally poor communication between driver and me. Today though, they made me pretty angry as driver marked my delivery as delivered even though he never got my groceries to my door, moreover my co tenant saw him pulling in, and driving off, to make matters worse, ubereats do not have clear and easy to find way to contact them directly to report theft, and there is no direct contact to the driver to call the "bastard" and ask what the bloody hell is happening or had happened to my order! In addition there is never a report of any kind from uber staff, about any action that had been taken or proper compensation for your losses... THEN, after i had to re-order my stuff, the guy was actually pretty perfect, but then i realized that he forgot to give me something, im glad i checked immediately what was missing and oh boy how glad i was that this driver did not left my property just yet, i run back to the door and asked him and he kindy checked and gave me what was missing, but generally this uber services are JUST TERRIBLE! I'm going to try door dash, and skip the dishes, maybe they are more careful and professional... there is also instacart specific for groceries and I was using it for my patient and never had any issues -so maybe I'll try this one.
