Uber is charging outrageous fees. My order was $72, plus tax $77, yet they charged me $106 before tip. With even a minimum 15–18% tip, that’s about $130 for food that costs $70 — almost double the price. This is because of Uber’s excessive service fees, which in my opinion is a scam. I placed the order, saw the $106 total, canceled immediately, and they still charged me. I explained that the order hadn’t even been prepared yet, but they refused to refund me. That’s why I deleted the app. If Uber keeps overcharging like this, it needs to change its policies or lose customers. As an American consumer, I won’t support a platform that treats people this way.
