This is my first time with a sonic tooth brush and so far so good. It has three settings, sensitive, white and clean. I have more than a few sensitive teeth but using it on the full clean setting doesn't cause any problems. It looks stylish, sits nicely in the hand and my teeth feel clean after brushing. Too soon to tell if it slows plaque build up which is the main reason I bought it. The only slight downside is that on full power it's like brushing your teeth with an angry bee in your mouth.
