UroTuning as a company has been responding to my emails and inquiries. I purchased the open air intake air for my 2017 GTI as a simple bolt on upgrade for better air flow feeding the turbo, which for the most part assembles quite easily. The only issue I had is that there is no longer a hole punched into the heat shield even though I have a secondary air intake (SAI). I emailed their support and they said they no longer provide a hear shield with a hole so I was told to “just try and get the SAI into the box, cut a hole if you have to”. Well this was not possible so I tried to tuck the SAI filter into the intake box. I trust this we be adequate to maintain any performance gains.
