The shoes are fine, they are Kickers therefore nothing to do with USC as such.
In my experience the customer service at USC is lacking. My sons shoes arrived without laces, I emails USC twoce amd have had NO reply.
As a result, I have had to purchase laces at my expense and without ANY contact from USC.
I would NOT recommend USC based on their customer service alone.
