Ordered online, a pair of led trainers, as it was a present, I expected pristine, or at least both new condition for both trainers.
Once open on arrival, they have clearly sent me a trainer from the shop floor (without any kind of notification), wasn’t charged up for the led lights to work along the bottom, and visibly clearly worn, as the inside was in terrible condition.
Tried to return to sport direct/usc today, asked about an exchange, only to be told ‘you will have to check the shoe department’, I did actually refuse and asked for them to check as I refused to wait for someone to appear, then wait for them to check, I had just waited half an hour to get served and as soon as I was handed a infants pair of shoes, staff member walked away and was never seen again.
After them checking the stock, they didn’t have the exact pair but I did see one similar,( same shoe, same size, same make, led lights included just an extra cost), so checked for that trainer, was in stock and managed to exchange in store at a charge of an extra £16.50!
However, although I’m thankful we managed to exchange in store, if I hadn’t, it would of been up to me to do the returns, and at my own cost too! I think £4.99 for delivery is too high but for me, I would expect free returns included in that cost.
I did order online to save me the trip into a busy shopping centre, but not only did I have to make the trip, I also wasted my time doing numerous calls to different stores to be able to check if the items were in stock, on each phone call, only managed to speak to one member of staff, got either hung up on, or no one answered.
Appalling service, will rethink when buying from Sport direct or USC!
