I like the low cost for what US Mobile can provide as a cellular phone service provider. I really like the customized plans, which help me plenty to adjust to whatever lifestyle I need to adjust to. I even tried the cellular data for a while. The reason was to test out downloads, uploads, and hardware/software performance of media files. Of course, the necessary phone operating system update is sometimes necessary.
I did want port forwarding for the data plan, but port forwarding and hosting web/application servers on a specified mobile device and mobile network can induce the risk of cyberattack. Maybe I was asking for too much. Still, I imagine the convenience of a web server hosted by a mobile device and some satellite data network. That way, I do not need to worry about the uptime of an internet modem/router. As for the safekeeping of the device, I would just keep it in a tailored safe and hope that the radio frequency maintains its service.
US Mobile does a good job as a phone and message service. I heard of privacy phone hardware and (Linux than Android) software. Maybe the company can find potential in research, development, and market.
