That Guy Who Needed Lots Of Help!
Since switching to US Mobile, I’ve only had great experiences. The 24-7 customer service has been possibly the best I’ve ever had with any company, and they’ve been very patient with various bugs that have come up with everything from my older phone and computer, to needing to switch from GSM service to the Warp 5g, and figuring out how to manage lines in the pool. I just spoke with Nobel, and he was very knowledgeable and patient through the longest customer service experience I’ve had, and a number of tough points. I’m very grateful to have everything figured out. I do want to say that I’ve used other MVNOs before (Tracfone and Pageplus) and US Mobile is BY FAR the most open network (they let you trade your SIM cards between phones, for example, with no problem — where as Tracfone will freeze aspects of your service over time, I can’t express how annoying that has been) and they’ll let us use hotspot even if you have the most inexpensive pool plan (other MVNOs I’ve used lock that feature.) The prices — from plans to the price of data top-ups (Tracfone, at the time of this writing, charges $10 to add 1gb of data to a prepaid plan, USM charges $2) is fantastic, — especially when you consider customer service, the factors related to openness, and features included. I’m happy and grateful to have found them — really haven’t had anything but positive experiences so far. Thanks again to Nobel, and the several others I’ve spoken with (all have been great — I believe this includes Sheikh Usman, Khurshid, and others) Final note: I notice someone here complaining about a rate raise that just recently happened (and lowering their rating as a result.) To my knowledge, this person should be able to have their old plan grandfathered in (I believe I read that on the site) but even still, it was just a slight raise in cost, with a very significant increase in value to the affected plans (10gb hotspot on one unlimited plan vs 5gb previously, etc.) and the option to pay for the whole year, and still bring the cost down below what it was previously (which I love.) I hope this person is able to get their old rate though, since it sounds like they preferred, and that someone reaches out to them.
