I look after my kit, so when something does go wrong, it's usually a fault with the item. I've still got my first air mat from 30 years ago and it works fine. How I and the issue are treated is a big deal to me. When my Big Agnes Rapide SL (the most comfortable sleep mat I've used), started leaking I initially contacted Big Agnes, who responded straight away and said it is a warranty issue and contact my supplier and get back to them if there was a problem. I therefore contacted Valley and Peak. Again I received a quick response and a label to return the mat for free. In less than a week, they had received the mat, inspected it and I received the replacement. Just in time for a wild camp the following night. I believe you only truly realise how good companies or people are, when something goes wrong. Most are nice when they are trying to get your money. Valley and Peak and Big Agnes are even better when something goes wrong and I will happily buy from both again. Some other supposedly premium UK brands could learn a lot from these. Thank you.
