I bought the round copper bulkhead lights. They look good and do take an ordinary GLS lamp (halogen or LED) and so can be dimmed. It is not clear from the picture online that the cable entry is from the bottom (rather than through the back), so could look quite messy if you don't want visible wiring. I was able to modify this by resiting the metal cable entry and grommet by tapping an appropriate size hole to take the parts.
