DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHEATS AND THIEVES We are a very large business. We are currently taking Vaux Spares to court for non-delivery of a £5k engine, that with hindsight stupidly paid them for in advance of delivery by bank transfer in August 22. Vaux Spares are as many, many posters state are charlatans and must not be trusted. I notice from other posters that when buying engines in particular there appears to be a common theme. Large remittances are made, only then not receive the engines or if they do, they are damaged. Then the fun starts then. They will then lie and lie and lie and if you don’t give up promise you a refund that never materialise. Just more lies. But now be warned when you think you have seen everything, unbelievably so they are prepared to even lie to a court providing no proof of what they are saying. Our experience:- We buy an engine, pay for it, promised it will be delivered in 3 days, only for it not to arrive. We telephone Moses only to be told we held back sending it out due to the bank holiday weekend as we have had parts damaged in transit before. Not a good start and in hindsight an immediate red flag. When told this we could not understand why a bank holiday should make any difference as to whether a part gets lost, damaged or otherwise but hey ho he send he would send it out that day. The first lie. Well after many weeks of chasing them by phone and email only to be fobbed off with excuse after excuse, we were told that the engine had fallen off the pallet at the couriers, was damaged and was being returned to them. By this time we believed that there was probably no engine in the first place, but was still prepared to give them the remote benefit of doubt and allow them to redeem themselves. We asked for a refund and kept being given the runaround. After over 30 calls and emails and discovering many negative reviews, we decided to issue a moneyclaim. Unbelievably Vaux-Spares filed a defence and counterclaim alleging we had received the engine and stripped it of ancillary parts. A blatant lie! Of course no proof of delivery to us, return to them, has ever been furnished, so be aware that not only are they prepared to lie to you but it seems they are prepared to lie to the court. The owner of Vaux Spares, Ray, is an argumentative, unsavoury individual that you cannot discuss anything with, as he is only interested in his own self importance -he is just a really horrible man that obviously enjoys this ruthless existence. My accounts department trusted them and paid upfront by bank transfer on a pro-forma. A VAT invoice was never issued. Had we paid by credit card I would have simply initiated a chargeback and black listed them as a supplier, but you live and learn. I have been for sometime thinking as to whether or not I should warn others of our experience but it is evident from the posts on here and other sites that Vaux Spares are deceitful and are running some kind of racket to fleece innocent individuals and businesses. After the court case it is my intention to contact the HMRC and Trading Standards, as with a likely judgement in my hand if will be much easier to authenticate our experience and hopefully get them to investigate Vaux.
