I bought the 5x a few months ago. It is way too heavy, road bikes are tough to fit on it even when you follow the instructions, and kids bikes are a huge hassle. I should have known better since all the advertising and videos that you see about this bike rack just show dudes in their 20s lifting up feather light mountain bikes over and over again. If you are a dude in your 20s and own a lightweight mountain bike and you don’t ever plan on taking the rack off the back of your jeep then this is a great set up for you. If you are looking to comfortably fit a variety of bicycles on this rack and easily be able to take the rack off your car when needed then I would suggest looking elsewhere. Also, the return policy is ridiculous because you pay the shipping cost to return everything and they asked that everything be back in its original packaging as was shipped to you which is near impossible And really would deter anybody from actually attempting to return the product.
