Disgusted with Council and Veolia's Lack of Responsibility.
Last year, my car was parked legally on a council road when a Veolia dustbin truck caused significant damage. Deep scratches, visible neon yellow tire marks, and even damage to my headlight were evident.
I contacted the council, who directed me to Veolia. Despite providing evidence from an elderly neighbor who witnessed the incident, Veolia demanded he complete a digital form, which he was unable to do due to his age and lack of digital literacy.
As a result, my claim was dismissed, leaving me with a repair bill of approximately £500. This is a significant financial burden, especially during these challenging times.
It's deeply disheartening that the council and its contractors, Veolia, refuse to take responsibility for the damage they caused. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disillusioned with a system that seems to prioritize bureaucracy over the needs of its citizens.
