Convenient, affordable and safe! The drop-off location followed the procedures described on Vertoe (i.e. checking ID, email confirmation, etc), so I felt good leaving my bag there. When I went back to pick up my bag, I was asked to show the picture they had me take of my bag with the Vertoe seal on before they went look for it. So yes, it's totally safe, and I would not hesitate to use this service again!
