Christmas 2018 present from my husband. From the minute we arrived at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel, we were made very welcome. The room (suite with 4-poster bed) was fantastic, as was the staff. They couldn't do enough to help. (Special thanks to Anne-Marie). Beautifully maintained grounds, nice for relaxing in the evening sun. Dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable. The second part of the trip - Steam Train and Cream Tea - was equally enjoyable. Many thanks for all volunteers and staff at Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. It was excellent.
