Bought Back to the Future the Musical tickets as a gift to my parents and paid nearly £100 for two tickets plus their "gift presentation box" (fancy red box). When they came to book tickets through their online booking, no matter what day, performance etc the only tickets you can actually purchase are right at the back of the upper circle away in the gods! If you book directly with the box office, these tickets are only £18 each! What a rip-off! For what I paid for their two tickets, if I'd have booked directly, and spent the same as I did with Virgin Experience, I could have got them great seats in the stalls or dress circle and still had change to buy them a programme and a drink! Save your money and book any of these things directly!

We were gifted a snowmobile tour through Virgin Experiences through our wedding registry. We tried to book on October 29, but none of the links on the website were working to make the booking. We reached out to the support desk and got no resolution. On November 11, they agreed in writing to provide a cash refund. As of November 22, we still have not been able to book, and they are refusing a refund. There’s nothing we can do through our credit card company since this was a gift given by someone else. We just feel bad that we requested someone we care about waste their money. Save your money - this just appears to be a scam.

Worthless. I received a aerobatic flight voucher as a gift. It cost $399 and has no expiration date. Tried to book it online, but showed no longer available. I requested a refund through email because Virgin Experience DOES NOT USE PHONE CONTACT. They replied I was to book directly through provided. Provider canceled two of my appointments for maintenence issues within the first 9 months of my voucher. I then suffered injuries from two car accidents and had to partially recover before scheduling. A month ago I scheduled the flight with no problems. I drive two hours show up to my flight and the pilot cannot process the voucher. Virgin does not respond to any of mine or the pilots requests for assistance. I had to pay $500 out of pocket for the flight, which was amazing. Virgin will not refund my voucher or apply it to the $500 I had to pay the pilot. Never buy anything through Virgin Experience. Virgin only responds with scattered emails or text messages and there can be days between messages. I recommend to use their site to find good activities and then purchase the activity directly through the provider.

I Purchased a comedy night for 2 for a relative for their Birthday in January 2024. When purchased it said the location available was Manchester. Fast forward a a few months and I asked the recipient if they had enjoyed their gift. To be told they couldn’t book Manchester as it was not available and had a bad experience with Virgin. I asked why they hadn’t exchanged the voucher and they told me how an advisor had told them the voucher was worth £500. They were told to choose another experience, they selected a tasting experience but were told they still had £368 still to spend. They told me they spend time looking and gave the advisor the codes for further experiences. The advisor said they would receive an email with the experiences soon. The next day they were messaged to say the experience was worth£39 and then a separate message to say it was £26. I was embarrassed as I got the experience day on sale and the recipient was embarrassed to tell me about their experience until I asked. It’s now August I have complained about the whole experience via messenger I included all correspondence from the recipient and a screen shot of the experience offering Manchester. The Birthday present I bought in January was worthless and the embarrassment caused to both myself and the recipient. Instead of responding to me they have again emailed the recipient. I have asked Virgin for the taster session as compensation for my recipient due to shambles and bad experience for both the recipient and myself. Virgin have refused this and the email which was sent to the recipient on 7 August instead of me. Admitted it was their error as the advisor made a mistake. I am sick of spending time having to deal with this error with no adequate resolution. I am making people aware of my experience and I would NOT recommend Virgin Experience.

It's a con do not buy tickets...I been trying to activate the serial number and pin and it's not working..there is no one to talk to... frustrating. Absolute con... basically fraudsters!

Lamboghini ride £69, we turn up with my 11yr Grandson, check in point told need Insurance £90 or would pay £5000 in access if he crashes,car photos with your child one photo £25 pack of 6 sent to your phone all the blimmin same picture £45 in-ride video absolutely £60 rip off you have 100's kids trying to get in cars hours delayed so they can extract as much money of you. Cafe extortionate prices £5 for chips £2.90 can pop we needed deep pockets. What was suppose to be fun was a rushed 2 track ride less than 10 minutes and spent £300 never again!!

A total waste of money. I'm Never buying a voucher again. The system is corrupt Cant book the experience before the voucher runs out. I wasted my money on these gift.

If I could give a 0 star review I would!!! I have been emailing your customer services team for 15 days now trying to get a resolution for the issure we are having with a voucher you have sold and the only response you've given is.. You are waiting for another team to respond. The experience we wanted to book was for this Thursday and we have taken annual leave to do it. It looks like now because of your company's lack of service we'll be unable to and also have one very disappointed 7 year old who was really looking forward to the Easter activity we had planned. You have effectively sold us a faulty product and now seem incapable of sorting it out. Do not use this company!!! Date of experience: 26 March 2024

Rip off. Would have been cheaper to book directly (The Wave Bristol) £50 direct or for the same thing £65 with Virgin. Now I have a useless £15 credit I didn’t need and will never use. Secondly I had to email The Wave with a code and PIN and wait three days for a reply, couldn’t use Virgin voucher on The Wave website, making it the most complicated booking process I have ever had. Never again.

Please please avoid this 🙏 company. Happy to take money easily but very poor organisation and even worse customer services issue if you have any queríes or issues! Much better options available. Please be 🙏 careful!

Where do I start. 6 years I’ve waited on the hot air balloon experience and everytime it was cancelled. Was exchanged for a gift card booked a hotel which had then closed down. No contact from virgin experiences about this found out on my own. Booked another hotel experience when calling to book it they no longer take virgin experience days. Whole thing has been a joke and not entitled to a refund

I am trying to use a gift card with a £150 balance, yet despite using multiple credit, debit and family member cards, the system keeps rejecting my transaction, saying "oops, please try again with a different card". All of the cards used have ample funds to cover the cost and I have even set up a new account with a different email. Still getting the same response. Both my partner and I have tried to contact Virgin Experience Days well over ten times in the past 3 months to resolve this, and no one is helping us. Terrible service from a shoddy product. DO NOT USE

I will never book with Virgin Experience again.. firstly my code for Anfield tour for 3 became non existent and who ever I spoke to on customer service says it was for two persons. I now have an Arsenal ground tour and no supporters here. One disappointed 11 year old. It was so tiresome and got nowhere trying to explain this.

Appalling complicated digital booking experience, no real agents available to assist after trying 10+ times and more expensive to book same experience with Virgin Voucher than directly with event (The Wave Bristol £50 but Virgin voucher is £65 for same thing!) Will never use again

Honestly a horrible setup, I received a gift card for iFly, I wanted to book for the day, but with Virgin Experiences, you cannot go straight to the vendor, they have to book it for you, and you can only do it by filling out a big form, putting in your top 3 ideal times, and it must be 7-days in advanced. I live a busy life with children, I cannot plan that far ahead right now, and for you to maybe give me my preferred times a week or two in advance? how ridiculous! I will never be using this BS company again, I don't know why anyone would go through this business rather than going direct!

Terrible customer experience. If things go wrong there is very poor customer experience and no means of actual person communication other than text and email. There is also no complaints process as they deal with things and prevent complaints which is hugely frustrating. Book with caution or avoid

I bought a Virgin Experience Day (hot air baloon ride with champaign) for my wife as a Christmas present. What a waste of £250. Firstly she booked in for the experience and the day before got cancelled by the operator. Then a few months later booked again, once again the day before cancelled. Left it for a while as we had family health problems and tried to book in again. Was told the ticket had expired as we haden't booked again in time... WHAT? This is £250 of MY money that they refuse to give back to me. I am not one for writing reveiws but please stay away from this company. Unless you like giving money away. Feel totaly ripped off

I purchased as a birthday gift for someone almost a year ago and still haven't been able to redeem it. The merchant had 2 dates available in an 8 month window. The customer service is totally non existent. I've emailed over 20 times who will not respond or listen it's almost like robotic responses!!!!!! Avoid this company £120 wasted and the total embarrassment caused to the person whom it was gifted to. Totally unacceptable situation and will be reported to trading standards.

Do not use this experience company. I had a voucher I had to use and chose an experience which was £6 more that the voucher. Once I put the voucher details in it requested the extra £6 and I clicked on PayPal to pay this. I know see that they have deducted the full amount from my PayPal account! Having complained I have been told they do not give refunds and I can have another voucher to use at any point in the next year...I can not afford another voucher. How do they justify forcing a voucher on me over feeding my family!!! This money has effectively been stolen from me. I don't want another experience, I want to be able to provide for my family!!!! I am now going to have to go down the route of reporting this as fraud with PayPal and informing Trading Standards

My son booked a weekend away voucher then Covid struck various attempts made to book a date then further break outs stopped us booking eventually they told us the voucher was past its sell by date no experience money pocketed . My daughter gave us an overnight stay voucher for fathers went to book it but three days to late (my fault) thy came back with a new code great tried to book not recognised money pocketed. So in my experience stay clear of anything Virgin related .
