About Virgin Experience Days:

Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Had a voucher great . hotel Brooklynn Manchester, cant use on weekends, had to book using another company which virgin told to book. had to leave voucher and a credit card . in cast virgin experience failed to pay . on arriving they took my voucher and my credit card and requested £50 from my account which was quickly transacted. they said they will refund it in a day or so even when I said gave my credit card on booking. the stay gave £50 allowance towards dinner .Had 2 main and 2 puddings £40 + 2beers total £56. just over by £6 so we thought . got changed ready for nigh out . looked up places to go Yates bar next door for starters. off we went 1030 closed said 2am on googol. every were except some food places closed. back to hotel bar closed .sat in room disappointed. morning breakfast ok but cold. check out told we owed £16. from bar bill . I said no £6 we were over. we only had £40 meal not £50 they said bar drinks whole separate. so they pocketed £10 from the meal. as it did not say on our voucher use all £50 and drinks are separate. also if you do happen to ever book cheapest is book at the desk. as I am due another visit to see a show in November but at that time when I booked if known at desk would have been cheaper . nice room bed .expensive food street food cheaper. staff nice. master the air con as hard to work. expensive for time spent there nothing special . VIRGIN EXPERIENCE DAYS 2 OUT OF 10 ANTHONY TAFFE FROM CREWE.

Purchased a silverstone voucher- not easy to redeem and there were such limited dates available we weren’t able to do the experience! They didn’t release any dates for months and then we only had a 2 month window until the voucher expired (it only lasts 10 months not the 12 on the voucher?!) then there was only one weekend they offered and you have to ‘apply’ for availability and wait to hear back.

I am waiting for response from the Virgin Experience admin team to activate my vouchers. In order to activate, I have to email the admin team as per the staff's instruction. There have been endless conversations via messenger for over 1 month and still waiting for my vouchers to be activated. I am very sad and disappointed.

I bought a 1 hour fly away voucher worth £150 with my credit card for my husband and been trying to book the flight nearest to my home location( London)since March and its November now and still no availability for my chosen dates, next available dates in 2022 by then my voucher would have expired ..Is there anything I could do ?? THIS VOUCHER WAS FOR MY HUSBAND WHO COME OUT OF BRITISH ARMY LATELY AND I REALLY WANTED TO TREAT HIM 😔..I feel very sad just thinking we will loss this money for no account of our own..How could virgin do this 😢 😔

I so wish I had read the reviews first! I've gone all out this year for presents for my family for xmas with this company, tried to get response for refund request as one of the gifts was duplicated and I've spent hundreds of pounds. I did all that was asked online but still no response. I am stressing out really badly as I cannot afford to loose this money. If anyone reads this from Virgin, please contact me urgently. Elaine

Booked a deluxe afternoon tea at Solberge Hall Hotel using 2 vouchers. All I can say is this wasn’t deluxe at all. They say you get a view of the Vale of York we had a view of the car park. The food wasn’t deluxe ... no salmon or beef offered we were offered Egg mayonnaise, cheese and chutney, ham or chicken ceaser. The scones were tiny and rock hard. One lady we took was allergic to strawberries so just had clotted cream for her scone. Cakes were disappointing chocolate mousse(we think), cheesecake and a lemon tart no macaroons as shown in the picture😟😟😟. We have had better at our local Morrison’s store

Reviewing the Red Palace. Not up to expected standard. Entrance very difficult to find ( not the only ones with this problem) - eventually got through to venue on phone to locate it. Having looked at details we should have been offered a glass of fizz each - we were not, but were pushed through to dining area and told to buy own drink. Food was tasty ( if rushed) but not up to master chef expectations . Dessert was very poor. A whole apple with a fork stuck in it - really????? The immersive theatre was good but was chaotically organisied, we hD no idea how many rooms we needed to visit ( that would have been a simple bit of info) so ran out of time and missed one. A shame This was not value for money and makes me question Virgin Experiences

Bad customer service from Virgin. Terribly arrogant and unhelpful man who runs the stargazing. Suggest you just go for the Glamping Pod element where they were very nice and helpful. Don’t waste time and money trying to coordinate the two. Virgin don’t help with this and dates for Stargazing incredibly limited and hard to get hold of.

Recently booked the rejuvenate spa package at virgin experience in Solihull, the spa treatments were great, the beauticians were wonderful and attentive. We were a bit disappointed that our treatments were so early and using the facilities came after. (not ideal and in my opinion not really spa day more treatments and gym pass) What ruined our day was the stuck up and quite frankly rude receptionist on the front desk and the rude assistant in the coffee shop who looked down their nose at my partner and I. No where on the website does it say they do not accept pyshical cash so me and my partner only took cash in the hopes of buying a lock for lockers. (rude receptionist thought it was ok to snigger when we said we didn't bring cards and was very judgmental) The layout was terrible, the spa is not attached to the facilities instead you have to go the through the gym and through changing rooms to get to them, as it was me and my partner we were in separate changing rooms which meant we had to meet at the top of the pool so he could give me our belongings to put in the lockers.

Disappointingly tame and underwhelming. Our super car race day at Smeartharpe stadium unfortunately was a let down. The track layout is not a race track, but a collection of cones to weave through. My maximum speed on the day was 45mph. I’m not a speed freak but clearly expected the ability to briefly put my foot down to experience the raw power. Would not recommend for an actual driving experience, but if you just want to slowly amble in the car of your dreams you will be satisfied!!

The selection of sandwiches was poor, I don’t like avocado or cucumber and just putting that on a piece of toast on its own was a bit odd, we had to ask for our cream and Jam to go with the scones, and it took 20 minutes for someone to take our cocktail order. The cheesecake and brownies tasted like they were mass produced from a supermarket, the afternoon tea would have be better if it was more homemade and more thought had gone in to it rather than just putting bought food onto a plate

After booking the spa day in advance for my mother and aunty (that was visiting from abroad), they received a call on the day to say that due to staff shortages they had to reschedule for an appointment next week. My mother informed the staff that this was not possible as my aunty would be leaving the country at the end of the week and that it is not fair to inconvenience the customer and they should find some replacement/agency staff. All credit due, the member of staff on the phone said she would call my mother back, to which she did and advised the full body massage (x2)could still go ahead but at a different time to what was originally booked. I thought this was the only positive thing from this entire experience, as this member of staff did her best to make it happen and avoided it being cancelled all together. The package included cream tea for two, consisted of two scones and butter. On the Virgin Website other reviews had uploaded photographs of fresh strawberries, cream and jam. My aunty asked for coffee instead of tea, but apparently both coffee machines were out of service. In the Spa, my mother and aunty informed staff that the water cooler was empty, but nothing was done to refill it. The temperature was over 30 degrees and water should have been available for them, or at least advised where else to go to access drinking water. I was really excited to see photos and hear about their luxury spa day but my mother came home with a headache. After hearing their experience it is not worth the money. Perhaps other Marriott Hotels offer better services but I would not recommend the Bexleyheath branch. Swimming pool was occupied all afternoon with children's swimming lessons so unable to use the pool.

The Beatles Story museum is fun and has its charm although isn’t especially comprehensive and is a little muddled. The meal was distinctly average, bordering on bad. The place empty, no atmosphere and manned by disinterested staff who wouldn’t answer the ever-ringing phone. The menu was very restrictive as was the wine choice and the food wasn’t great. I would advice booking tickets for the Beatles Story straight from the museum and finding somewhere nice to eat afterwards, rather than booking this experience.
