About Virgin Experience Days:

Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. By teaming up, we are able to challenge the way every experience is provided and offer once-in-a-lifetime gifts backed up by friendly service staff with first-hand knowledge.

Unlucky timing meant day of booking transpired to be first day of 'Beast from the East' weather which meant I could not get into London due to consequential train disruption. As once booked the booking cannot be changed, this made for a wasted gift and it is for the lack of booking amendment facility I would not recommend Virgin Experience vouchers as a gift.

Was nothing special, was a bad experience day. No customer care, no special area to go to. It was not a day,it was simply a massage.

This was a Xmas present for my daughter and son-in-law. Inamo only give you your table for 1.5hrs which is just not long enough for a 12 dish tasting menu. Their table wasn't ready when they arrived. The first dishes were served quickly then there was a long gap in between the next being served. The last dishes weren't served until 6mins before they were due to leave their table. Only 11 of the 12 were served so they knocked off the 10% service charge, which I think was a real cheek!! As there was so much food left they asked if they could take some away but Inamo refused point blank despite the fact that I had been in the very same restaurant the week before and I was asked what I would like to take away. There was so much food wasted and I paid £107 for this food which I assume would have been just thrown in the bin after they left. Not good value for money at all and Inamo need to give longer for people who have paid for the 8 and 12 dish tasting menus to have any chance of being able to eat it all - or revise their policy about taking food away. The food itself was lovely.

Hey Melinda, We are so sorry to hear this. Please be assured that we are looking into this with our Escalated Care Team, the supplier and our Quality Assurance Manager. If you would please send us an email to social.media@virginexperiencedays.co.uk with as much detail as possible, including names of people that you spoke to (if you know) and times and dates that you attended, this would be much appreciated. Please be aware that it can take up to 15 working days to hear back from our team. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience.

So limited in shows and seats and days - much better to book it yourself

I didn't expect to be charged £20 for a damage waiver. It didn't last long - not £125 worth.

Hey David. We are sorry to hear that you were surprised by the damage waiver. We do try and make our vouchers as transparent as possible and provide this information prior to purchase of the voucher and upon activation. Please do keep in mind, whilst this damage waiver is optional and paid directly to the supplier, it is advised by the suppliers to take this up on the day to avoid any further costs if the cars were damaged.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and our coats were taken and put into a safe place. We were shown to the bar where we stood alone for the whole duration of our stay whilst everyone else sat. We were given a house gin and tonic and just left standing even when finished. I had to ask a member of staff what the process was for our experience was it over? Was there more? Where should we go? She seemed to be oblivious to my questions and walked off! We then asked the barman who gave us some taster gins and served us our chosen one. BOOM!!! End of our gin experience. In all fairness the barman was quite pleasant but I have never felt so uncomfortable but as this was a birthday gift from my son I did not wish to embarrass him by making a complaint.

Hi Collette, thank you for your review. We're so sorry to hear that your experience didn't go as expected this time, and you were left feeling so confused about what was happening. We would like to forward to comments onto the relevant department and the supplier of the experience, and it would be very helpful if you would let us know the name of the experience so that we can do this. Thank you for your feedback.

Poor customer service, left hanging around for hours, no drink for my 10 year old daughter and no effort put into the hair and make up.

Not a five star hotel, seats in bar area were ripped and bad smell wafting through bar area! No personal touch to it and nowhere to buy ice cream or sweets whilst watching the film! When I called the hotel to book the film, they were quite rude and abrupt! Very disappointing!!

I purchased a Thames Sightseeing Cruise and Dinner for Two at Marco Pierre Whites for my son and daughter-in-law. I was so disappointed to hear from them that there were so many restrictions that they ended up paying a lot more for the experience. They may well have been in the 'very' small print, but they could only choose from an extremely limited menu and because they went on a Saturday they were only given an amount towards the meal. This is just a warning to read the small print very carefully as it is not quite the good deal that you think it is and to be careful if you are buying it as a gift. They are looking forward to the Thames Sightseeing Cruise at a later date, so these comments just apply to the Marco Pierre White element of the deal.

It advertises a Day but it was in fact a couple of hours. We couldn't have the full body massage advertised and my friend and I had to have matching treatments. The Spa area is tiny consisting of 2xhot tub, sauna and steam with seating for 4 people (there were 6 in attendance). Changing rooms are 'compact' too. A nice couple of hours but certainly not a relaxing spa 'Day'. The treatments we did receive were ok, but not great. Would not recommend.

This was sold to us as a relaxing spa day which it wasn't at all. The actual spa was only available at your allotted booked massage time. You could use the pool and sauna but had to walk through the actual gym with people working out and having classes to use them and then back through to go have your treatment! We then got told we could use the pool but there was a class on for another 30 minutes. That's not a relaxing spa day. We got told we could wait in the cafe area instead which we did. Safe to say we just left after our actual treatments which lasted 40 minutes. Didn't get a robe or slippers, got told we should of even brought our own padlock! Disappointed is an understatement considering this was for my mums birthday.

Breakfast was a bit of a joke, after arriving for breakfast at 8.55 within a 7.30 to 9.30 time frame we were told that the croissants had run out and when enquiring about the lack of white bread for the toast we were told that there would be no more white bread available that day! As it was a continental breakfast we only had cereal and a cup of tea so on principal we went elsewhere and bought a good English breakfast. This is a place we'll avoid in the future!

Not the place for afternoon tea. Poor , slow and lacklustre service. Average food. That we had to chase for our teas...not given any choices. Ended up with Yorkshire gold. Had better many places before.
