About Virgin Experience Days:

Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. A nice bottle of hot sauce, but let down by 2 rather past their best Chillies - Not really a Gourmet Box at all, in fact there was no Box!, just came in bubble wrap

My wife and I booked a Bateaux London evening dinner cruise for two for the 12 /09/18. We had chosen the Symphony vessel, and on arrival was extremly dissapointed to be told that this boat was not available. We feel we should have been told of this in advance because we specifically wanted that vessel. This spoilt our enjoyment of this experience.

Train driving instructor was excellent and can't fault him. And driving the train itself was fabulous however day itself was extremely unorganised. And very over priced for what it was. Would not recommended paying the amount it costs for this. This was bought as a gift for my dad and appreciate that he enjoyed the train driving itself but the whole day should have left him on a high, not just the drive. He would have loved to have dined in the Pullman and I feel that for the cost this should have been included, would have been happy to pay extra for this as a guest.

If your voucher for dinner for 2 in a steakhouse does not cover a steak and a side order then I don't think you should be selling it!!

Hi Lori, we are very sorry to hear this. We do advise prior to prior to purchase and when you activate the voucher that sides would not be included and if you do wish to have these, they do come at an extra charge. 'Side orders are not included with your main and are available at an extra charge. Typical sides might be French Fries, Creamed Potatoes, Crispy Onion Rings or Seasonal Green Vegetables and start at £4.75. Tea and coffee are also available at an extra charge.' We do aim to make our vouchers as transparent as possible and we can only sincerely apologise if this information was missed.

Well we had 2 treatments at Tamworth . I went in five mins late for my 45 mins of treatment and came out 5 mins early so that is poor i even had to ask for our presecco on the way out the building which the guy thought i was lying and said i will let you have it this time .i would not recommend this as a gift unless you want to disappoint somebody.So basically save your money and do something else.We were really disappointed.

The expiry date of these and availability is real problem. id advise not to buy a driving experience voucher, just pay with cash instead. Cash doesn't expire. These companies exploit expiry dates to their own advantage. I went to book but no availability until later in the year, meaning my voucher would expire. I've had no choice but to extend the voucher at a cost of £20. Kerching!

We do advise of the validity period prior to purchase and we do also print the expiry date on the physical voucher so that this can be seen and the customer does know of the date that it would need to be booked and used by. As driving experiences do have seasons that they are able to drive in and are extremely popular, this may have been the reason as to why you was unable to make a booking. Very poor value. I had a gift for a comedy night, I swapped and paid extra for a Café Rouge meal for two. The menu was very limited, we were not allowed to select from the main menu. I would say the meal would have cost less that the additional amount I paid.

With the Cafe Rouge experience, it is a set menu provided on the voucher which we do advise and have a copy of prior to purchase and when activating the voucher. We can only sincerely apologise if this was missed and if this had caused any disappointment on the day.

As you would expect views from the Shard were spectacular. As a photographer, I just wish there were a few gaps you would get a camera through. The reflections from the glass made it very difficult to get a perfect image. Similar sites in New York allow you to get unimpeded views. The Jen's Gin Experience was very disappointing. We got a rambling and inaccurate history of gin, and got to taste two gins. The premises are uninspiring. Sorry to say this part of the day was not good value for money!

The show was good but the meal beforehand was terrible, the waiter took our drinks order, then 10 mins later came and said he'd forgot to put them through and what did we want again. Drinks came out and both of them were wrong so sent them back, we got our mains before our starters so sent them back, then our starters came out cold so we sent them back, they only brought out my drink and we had to ask for my partners twice. The mains came out cold. The staff were rude and all in all quite useless.

The gin tasting day was more of a whiskey day. Coukd make our own cocktail as advertised . The chilli day the food was rank

Awful choice for food. Chosen restaurant was Just not up to expectations. Food was awful had to be sent back twice because of stale bread

The package deal was good, good price for a good meal at a nice restaurant. But oh my, the HASSLE to use the voucher on the day. I had to do 3 or 4 different things in order to activate the freaking voucher, the instructions were not clear, I honestly don't even remember how we did it, I think my husband found the place to do the last activation on Google, because it was not in any of the emails I received from them. I don't understand why it has to be so complicated. With Groupon you just buy the freaking thing and you get an email that you just print and done. This whole rigmarole of a billion activation steps put me completely off this Virgin Experience Days thing. Probably never going to do it again.

Not the romantic experience we hoped for. View spectacular but experience was bad. Trouble finding Tattershall Castle made us late, they had given our table away to another couple (after 10 minutes?). They also tried to charge us for our soft drink (included in the voucher), food was delayed with the reason given as being "very busy", even though nobody else was being served food whilst we were waiting. In all not a good experience and we will not go there again. The signs for Tattershall Castle are a bit confusing, as the first sign you see is "Pub on The Thames" which obscures the Tattershall Castle sign. So that is why we spent 30 minutes walking back and forth up and down the Embankment. We were disappointed for our daughter and husband who gave the voucher as a gift.

We had booked to have afternoon tea at The Shard. The actual tea itself was good quality and enjoyable......although tea was cold when we eventually got to it. The experience was for 2 people and we had booked 2 tickets for the 4 people going. On arrival we were told that one of the voucher codes couldn't be redeemed as it had been cancelled!! I ended up having to go through emails to prove it was correct and had not been cancelled then forward the email to the restaurant supervisor. I cannot fault the staff they were very professional and helpful but all 4 us felt very embarrassed especially in such a high class establishment. It also took the shine off the day which was purchased as a xmas present for my mum and a present for my 40th birthday.

We did not receive all 12 dishes. After 15 minuets waiting for our last two dishes to arrive they didn’t so we got the bill and wanted to leave. Told staff but it was too late for us to wait any longer and I was disappointed they forgot about our table so left. Wouldn’t recommend.
