Wouldn’t recommend this dirty tired hotel to anyone.
It is a bad hotel with a pool, nothing remotely like a spa. The changing rooms were grubby and smelly. There were not enough loungers by the pool, which wasn’t exactly a relaxing place to be in any event.
The treatment was good although I upgraded it to be an hour, it was only 40 minutes so I shouldn’t have bothered. It was also in a big meeting room without the usual lovely treatment room vibe and smell. I had to walk through the whole hotel to get to the room in my robe with no shoes on. The room was cold and I had to ask for the air con to be turned off. I couldn’t escape the fact I was in a meeting room as the garish hotel carpet was all I could see through the hole in the bed.
There were stains all over the walls and ceiling in our room which made me feel a bit ill.
The food was nice and staff in the restaurant were really friendly so this review is not directed at them.
Overall, this ‘pamper’ break was a real let down and I’m surprised Virgin associates itself with this hotel.
