I Purchased 2 Apple iPhone's on contract on black Friday as a Christmas gift for my Grandchildren. Unfortunately Vodafone activated the Sim card immediately upon delivery without the cards even being put into the phones. Therefore the contract was started and unused, for nearly a month wasting money.
I contacted customer support who refused to help saying that it was "Company Policy"
In short if you want to buy a phone as a gift then DONT BUY VODAFONE. Even the Customer Service agent agreed that you shouldn't buy from Vodafone in this case.
