Yes, it is a very good platform and idea behind it, but even with spending lots of hours with trying, testing, image-burning and so on i have ALSA-errors every time when the raspi has been restarted. Only a new flashed sd-card works until the raspi was shut down once. Maybe it´s a hardware based problem with the new hifiberry DAC2 Pro?
I don´know. But i know, that i can´t use Volumio with this DAC at the moment. If the problem can be fixed, Volumio would be worth 5 stars, no question ;-)
