I have been recently using Volumio with a Raspberry Pi 3 and external USB DAC. The application is working perfectly fine, is easy to navigate and absolutely problem free. The sound quality is amazing or at least equivalent with a proper hi end streamer.
I am currently considering to set a Pi 4 with Volumio to my main listening hi end system as a source.
