I was looking for a device that I could use to listen to spotify on my amplifier at home without having to plug my laptop or phone (nevermind the poor quality of their audio output). But all that I was finding was quite costly. Eventually I came across Volumio on a forum, and already having laying around a 1st generation Paspberry Pi B, it was just a question of installing Volumio and try it out. It's amazing, I connected my old mp3 and vorbis collection which I hadn't listen in quite sometime. The app is also very practical and convenient. I've just bought a DAC for the raspeberry pi, and I'm eager for it's arrival.
