I actually placed my order through Debenhams which VonHaus were a supplier for the table and chairs set I ordered for my garden. Often, it is easier to praise customer service when things go well from the start, but the true test and reality of a company is shown when experiencing difficulty. When my order was first delivered only the chairs were delivered and Evri returned the table. I got in touch with Vonhaus (Domu) straight away, they were apologetic and ordered me a new set and as a result of told me I could keep the chairs as a goodwill gesture and they would order me a replacement. This must have happened another two times that Evri kept sending the order back. I could see it was no fault of VonHause (Domu) so I decided to personally reach out to Evri and their customer service was appalling, someone got in touch informing me they were trying to locate the parcel only to be ghosted and the case to be closed. Whereas, VonHause (Domu) in particularly Jayson took ownership of the case and kept regularly in touch via email and phone until I came to a desired outcome. In the end, I decided not to re-order the same garden set as I already had the chairs and did not have room to store the extra chairs, but they were willing to change the courier service had I decided to proceed with the order. As a goodwill gesture, they did ask for the chairs back and for me personally I did not wish to take something I had not paid for just like that, as it is important I am honest when it comes to any financial dealings and I expect the same to be done for myself. I tried ordering a replacement table directly from the same company, but there were no table options which went with the chairs and the end result was me having a set of chairs which I once paid for, fully refunded and being allowed to purchase my table elsewhere. This does not mean Vonhause will handle each case in the same way, as my case was pretty unique and from my end whilst I received exceptional customer service from Jayson, I was also patient and trying to do the right thing from my end, so it works both ways. What I will say, Vonhaus (Domu) I mainly concerned about customer satisfaction than the sale itself. In a time like this, we rarely see that and it is nice that a company still has old fashioned good customer service values. I want to thank Jayson whole heartedly for his customer service and he is an asset to the organisation and has helped reinstall my faith in the company and intend to make future home purchases with VonHause (Domu) from now on and the added bonus is that currently they are part of the Blue Light Discount scheme.
